I really didn't like her in that, maybe that was good acting, maybe that was the intention but she seemed like a twisted little bitch. Despite what that guy may or may not have done.

For a 14 year old it was totally unbelievable, if she was actually 18 (which Ellan Page was, but perhaps not what the charachter was) then maybe it was a bit more believeable.

Best Foreign Language Film
Beaufort, Israel The Counterfeiters, Austria Katyn, Poland Mongol, Kazakhstan 12, Russia Well I've just seen 'No Country For Old Men' and although it wasn't an utterly brilliant film in my opinion it has got 'Oscar worthy' written all over it. I can't wait to see the new P.T. Anderson feature 'There Will Be Blood'; I'd have thought that the 'Best Picture' category would be between those two. Gutted about 'Juno' though, I received an email offering a free screening yesterday but applied too late. I'd be happy to see Phillip Seymour-Hoffman or Javier Bardem pick up an acting statue as they were both great in their roles, albeit the former has already had his fair share of acclaim. I agree about Keira Knightley, Sar; she's a very mediocre actress, her whole performance seems to consist of flashing her 'teethy' smile. Ellen Page on the other hand is a huge talent.......and yes, she was amazing in 'Hard Candy'!

If that's acting, we could all do it! Would like to saee either Johnny Deep or George Clooney win the best Actor, the former because he was robbed not getting it for Captain Jack, the latter because I think he deserves recognition for being a good actor, and not just a lovely man to look at! ;D

On the celebrated friday afternoon film reviews on Five Live she has been officially renamed 'Ikea Knightley'! ;D Not sure about Clooney winning, he only picked up 'Best Supporting Actor' a year or two ago for 'Good Night And Good Luck'. I like Johhny Depp - albeit definitely not for THAT film - but will wait to see Daniel Day-Lewis' performance before making a judgement. Viggo Mortensen is also a great actor. I see that as per usual it's the absentees that are as noticeable as the nominees! Where's 'American Gangster' in the shake-up? Why are the Academy to snobbish to acknowledge the brilliance of 'The Bourne Ultimatum'? And how the hell did 'Tell No One' not make the shortlist for 'Best Foreign Film'?
