They were no 'Ace Of Base' Jules!! ;D Yes... I don't think there have ever been many songs worse than "I saw the sign" I reckon I could name 20 quite comfortably if I put thought to it... For a start, Bing Crosby's 'White Christmas' - let's face it, if it had any other lyrics, it'd have long been forgotten! Let's not forget the tons of crap churned out by the likes of 'Fiddy' Cent, the teeny-bopper era... I'd take Ace of Base ahead of quite a lot of stuff! Edit: Let's not forget the current screamo-metal bands too - where all the songs sound the same, and approximately consist of "Thrash every instrument as hard and fast as you can, while the singer vomits into the microphone."

There's always someone to disagree isn't there Trav?! Yes Neko, admittedly AofB were not as bad as Aqua, Mr Blobby, or Those schoolkids who sang about their Grandma. However, without going COMPLETELY beyond the pale, AoFB sucked extremely hard!

Turn Back Time was nice especially - it's just a shame they broke up when they did, apparently the third album (which they were halfway through) was gonna be a lot more rock-ish!

That one's at least a bit of fun... Several leagues higher than Mr Fiddy! Not the first though Neko. I had 'Scatman's World' in mind! Fiddy Cent is a 24 carat twat though!!! Oh, but please don't tell me 'Rednex' were "at least a bit of fun"!!

Oh, but please don't tell me 'Rednex' were "at least a bit of fun"!! Only when you're 'ready-to-chat-up-a-lamppost' drunk. Which possibly explains why rednecks enjoy the kind of music they do...

Well they shouldn't have done Barbie Girl then!!! I remain sceptical. Deeply sceptical!

Surely 'Doctor Jones' was far inferior to the intelligent and insightful pop of 'Barbie Girl'??

The video for Barbie Girl was brilliant, I'll give them that ;D I think the thing that endeared me to Aqua ahead of other pop groups was that the music had more of a 'happy hardcore' feel to it than most pop, and they quite blatantly weren't taking themselves seriously! ;D

You wanted the vid......go on, admit it!! I'm with 'The Base'!! ;D ;D Nah, but I vaguely remember them being cute chicks... All your base are belong to us! That's so wrong though, I mean I can't remember what 50 Cent has done that offended me, whereas most of what AofB did still offends me over a decade later!!!

I don't really have any opinion on him as a human being. Some hugely talented musicians are equally "guilty" of peddling that attitude to kids - but I don't blame them. They aren't the people who are smuggling black market weapons and putting them in kids' hands. I can't remember anything he's done offhand. Honestly!

Thus, they don't have any resistance built up for it ;D Amazingly, there was a cover of Agadoo released by some boy-band that was notably worse than the original! I saw the video once, watched it out of morbid curiosity... and for some reason (totally beyond me ), it never surfaced again!

Based on the interviews I've seen, he's a prize cock, basically. As one of my friends once remarked, "You keep boasting you've been shot at seven times - perhaps you should take the fucking hint?!"
