Strong opener last night I thought. Two plot twists, two gory deaths, multiple explosions, and Jack and Chloe ignoring orders; it's as if it's never been away!! Must admit I thought it was a little strange to find one of the two leads from 'Harold And Kumar Get The Munchies' playing a small screen terrorist. My only reservations last night, would be with the scriptwriters decision to have the President hand Jack over to the terrorist leader (and a seemingly inevitable death). Surely this predicament merited at least a couple of episodes? When he escaped within 15 minutes of being captured, I couldn't help feel this plot-line was just an afterthought, crow-barred in, to allow the TV company to market the new series in the way they did ('America needs Jack Bauer.....dead'). Oh and Jack managing in 5 minutes to shave, cut his hair and get into a car was pushing it too. BTW, did anyone else notice Stephen Merchant's brief cameo??
