The Wedding Planner? Now that IS shit!!! John Hughes film's are ok - The Breakfast Club is one of my favourite all time films. And Pretty in Pink is pretty decent as well. But wasn't he also responsible for the Home Alone series?! Mmmmmm. Yes, lets gloss over the franchise, (he didn't direct them, anway ). I was thinking more in terms of the other two, Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller and the mighty Weird Science. Liked Planes, Trains & Automobiles too..

Yes, as stated above you fool!!! ;D But back on to Dirty Dancing. If you want adolescent angst, sex and music wouldn't Saturday Night Fever be a more socially acceptable choice for a bloke? ;D Actually, this had reminded me, there's a list of the top 20 teen movies in an old issue of Empire. I'll dig it out, it should make for a decent thread. For what its worth, my personal fave would have to be Donnie Darko.

I modified it before you posted your reply Nah mate, SNF was too poncey for my liking. I preferred the 60's music of DD and Grease ;D I really can't recall seeing Donnie Darko. I'm sure I must have but can't place it. That list would deffo make a good thread though. I'll add St Elmo's Fire to my own list. I know it got slated a bit but I enjoyed it Not all that bothered about Weird Science, but P, T and A was really good. Didn't he also do Ferris Bueller?
