I had a bad experience when my mate gave me a video copy of a Swedish film, it detailed the working day of a plumber. The characters were sketchy, the narrative disjointed, laughable dialogue, and as for the quality of the cinematography, lighting, editing, direction......well don't get me started! Good jazzy soundtrack though! ;D Sounds like your mate is a better friend than mine ...... Mine told me to watch a weird black & white film about a man who is slowly morphing into a machine. Cue much arterial spurting and flesh ripping as lumps of machinery grow out his body as he screams in pain. I was hoping for a sightly humorous ending where the film ended with him having turned into a giant vending machine or toaster. Sadly it wasn't to be!! Sound you spent the afternoon doing impressions of Gareth Hunt in the Nescafe ads!! ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) I would give kudos to the director on that score, the metamorphisis into a toaster and the inevitable widespread acceptance within the community is such a cliched Hollywood denouement! ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Maybe you should watch Eraserhead; David Lynch's debut movie about the fears of fatherhood. The lead man (Henry) feels trapped when he puts his missus in the club, but things get worse as when born the baby resembles a worm that needs to be bandaged just in order to keep it's organs from falling out. Anyway, the guy gets stressed, he fantastises about a girl behind a radiator and his head falls off and is recycled as an eraser! I could do you a copy! ;D

I adore it now though, just because while any man who has such visions is to be admired,a man with the conviction to announce to the world in celluloid that he's a full a not job is to be hailed as a messiah! ;D

'here, look at the screen everyone! These are the things I see in my mind'If you're not in broadminded company, it'd be quite the room clearer!! ;D People always go on about 'how weird Twin Peaks is' ......... at that point you just know they haven't seen Eraserhead. As that's weird on a whole different level!! ;D

Besides, I can't imagine my world without visions of backwards talking dwarves and minah birds being shot on the grounds of being key murder witnesses. ;D

It was the creepy playing of 80's corporate rock and then murder that got me. I know Phil Collins can drive people insane but really does it drive you to cut someone up with a chainsaw when you're taking them from behind?
I didn't get whether it was all in his head or not.

The bit I saw was the Huey Lewis and the News / axe scene. I like edgy films but I felt no compunction to persist with watching it.

Haha. I think I know that picture. He gained lots of weight to play the guy who killed John Lennon in a film. Then lost it all really quickly. This picture will do nicely though: ![](http://upload.moldova.org/movie/actors/j/jared_leto/thumbnails/tn2_jared_leto_2.jpg)
