Thinking of treating myself to 'The Orphanage' tonight... Great film Tom!! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Not quite on a par with Pan's Labyrinth, especially visually but damn good all the same. Very effective 'Most Haunted-esque' sequence and a couple of real 'jump out of your seat moments'. A bit like The Others, but better.

Good stuff mate, I'll have a think Seen the Dead Man's Shoes thread yet? Well if you like it then you want to give The Devil's Backbone a go too, it sits quite nicely between the two stylistically. Yeah I just seen it, good work! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) A bit shameful that some of the Derby lot still haven't seen it though isn't it? ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

I saw 'The Bucket List' and 'Drillbit Taylor' on the flights to and from America.
The Bucket List was very enjoyable, and both very sad and amusing in equal measure. Cant help but think it would have been shite had they cast anybody other than Jack Nickolson and Morgan Freedman though, whose on screen performances keep you enthralled throughout.
7/10
Drillbit Taylor is a teen comedy starring Owen Wilson who plays a homeless guy who gets work as a personal bodyguard for some bullied nerds.
Its ok at best, with a few laughs but i wouldnt bust a gut to watch it ever again.
6/10 (and thats only because it was better than chatting with the moaning scotsmen sat next to me) ;D

The Good The Bad And The Ugly
An all time classic revisited! Not a weak link from the perfect casting, the stirring soundtrack and the beautiful cinematography
9.5/10

Pan's Labyrinth
I Sky+'d this a while ago, and finally got around to watching it last night. i can't only really echo what Trav and other have said about it really. It's visually stunning film with a great storyline and is beautifully acted. I shall be recommending it to everyone I know!!
10/10

Pans Labyrinth was stunning though!! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Good jazzy soundtrack though! ;D

Oh and I watched most of Cabin Fever last night. I have to worry about the sort of person who enjoys this sort of rubbish. Why was it only a 15 too? It was grim.

I won't watch the Hostel films, which is why I also haven't commented on them. Not my cup of blood I'm afraid.

Good jazzy soundtrack though! ;D Sounds like your mate is a better friend than mine ...... Mine told me to watch a weird black & white film about a man who is slowly morphing into a machine. Cue much arterial spurting and flesh ripping as lumps of machinery grow out his body as he screams in pain. I was hoping for a sightly humorous ending where the film ended with him having turned into a giant vending machine or toaster. Sadly it wasn't to be!! Sound you spent the afternoon doing impressions of Gareth Hunt in the Nescafe ads!! ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)
