Mark Evans has stepped down today as chairman of Gresley Rovers after six years at the helm.
Evans has been succeeded by a group of local businessmen with Mark Harrison taking the chair.
The Evening Telegraph understands that Tony Kirkland, who resigned some weeks ago, will be returning as the UniBond League club's secretary.
In a statement, Evans said: "I believe that I have taken the club as far as I can over the last six years and that this move is in the best interests of the football club.
"A new group have agreed to form the basis of a new board of directors and I believe that they have the appropriate levels of skill and experience to take Gresley Rovers forward and secure its future on a stronger and firmer basis.
"They will bring a new focus and energy to the Football Club
