I stayed with my cousin last weekend up at Preston Uni and he had a nutella in abundance, 4 tubs of the stuff. I have to say it hits the spot on white bread at 4 am . Mixing it with Honey nut corn flakes and country crisp isn't wise though!

One I just made when getting home from college today... Basically pasta with tuna. - Cooked pasta shells in a pan with a couple of chillis, some cloves of garlic, added salt and pepper. Cook until pasta goes soft to your taste. - I had no ready made pasta sauce handy so I improvised; in a seperate dish I put my tuna (after draining the brine stuff). I then squirted a load of Heinz tomato sauce on to it and stirred it in. I added salt + pepper, some ginger and then drizzled on some olive oil. That tastes really good on its own so you could probably make a good tuna salad with it if you wish. Then drain the water from the pasta pan (remove any large remnants of the chillis). Slap pasta on a plate. Slap tuna/tomato mix on to pasta, mix it in if you wish. Tastes lovely. And it's so easy that even I can do it! The main problem I guess is having all the extra herbs/spices kicking around, which I can't really imagine too many student flats having! ...Does this actually sound appetising or am I just strange in liking this?

Aside from using heinz ketchup, it sounds pretty good, actually - tuna and tomato is a theme my friend has used in a couple of his dishes too. I think I'd use tomato puree instead of ketchup, but it could be worth a crack one day

I've been making myself a basic pasta sauce over the last year now. Just fry onions and garlic until softened. And some pepper (usually red for me in sauce) and after a couple of minutes add chopped tomatoes and herbs. I also put in chilli and Worcestershire sauce and usually some peas. Goes brilliantly with ravioli or tortelloni (whatever's on offer at supermarket at the time ) or add mince for a bolognaise sauce.
