Thats quite surprising. Maybe Manchester City is on the cards should they ditch Pearce.

Just watching this on sky sports news.
Bit of s shocker!! Particularly after the momentous task he puled off yesterday.
Looks as though, after 6 years, its a classic case of "I've taken this club as far as it can go."
Amazing record at Wigan though- Games 291 Won 127 Drawn 74 Lost 90 Win % 44%
With such a good record I'm sure he won't be short a job offers.
Possibly Man City? I know Stuart Pearce is still there but his future looksa bit uncertain at the moment

more to the point of Wigan I can see them getting quite a big name manager. they have the money, the potential and the chairman to do it

No, he kept them up on the last day with a win against Liverpool then left saying he had taken them as far as he could and went to Sheffield Wednesday. Bradford went through a couple of managers the next season and went down like a cheap hooker.
Can't see Wigan being able to get a big name to be honest but good luck to them

Chris Hutchings has been appointed the new manager. Lol! Hutchings has been Jewell's assistant both at Bradford and Wigan, and Whelan has decided to give him the job. One thing I would point out though - Hutchings has never really managed before; the only time he did was a disastrous 12 game spell at Bradford... ...he won 1 game.
