Thats a lot of money No really ............. considering they had 6 million to waste on Mathew Upson!! They should have lost points, but that tends to be a punishment only handed out to smaller clubs.

No points deduction because of the full cooperation of the new West Ham board, the decision to plead guilty to the charges and the ridiculous amount of time taken between the offence and the FAPL doing something about it. It said in the report that the fine would have been £8m and points deducted if the above was not so. If it was Watford it'd have been points If they stay up now, they'll get £30 mill + cos of the new TV rights tho. At least they can't play Tevez!
