West Ham United have called a press conference for Wednesday, where they will confirm the appointment of Alan Curbishley as their new manager.
The full press conference will be broadcast live on Sky Sports News from 3pm.
The Hammers have wasted little time in finding a replacement for Alan Pardew, who was sacked on Monday.
Curbishley was immediately installed as favourite for the role and, after talks with chairman Eggert Magnusson, he has agreed to take charge at Upton Park.
The former Charlton boss has been out of work since quitting The Valley at the end of last season, but he has only recently confirmed his desire to return to club management.
Curbishley's former Charlton assistant Mervyn Day will also come in, and with Keith Peacock already working at West Ham - Charlton's former management team will be reunited in East London.
....................................................................
Should be a good move for them. He'll have some money behind him aswel, could be interesting

Whilst I think he's a great manager is there any real difference between him and Pardew, if they wanted to take it up a level I think they should have looked elsewhere.
Found it funny that he said at the interview that he was only contacted this week, yeah right!

The guys got the experience and will have the respect of the players.
He can handle 'big time charlies' he had Di Canio after all.
Why go for a 'name' with no affinity with the club.

He will raise them to the next level and maybe beyond as he shown with Charlton. All this crap about not being able to handle the big players is a load of nonsense, I dont think he could do any worse than Pardew with Tevez and Mascherano...or Reo-Coker come to think of it ;D

Curbs - 6 points from 10 games - rubbish. If West ham lose tomorrow Les Reeds record at Charlton will be better, but bet the media wont be hounding out Curbs
