Well I have to admit it was a bad result, 1-0 away to one of the favourites for automatic promotion ... we can't all play (and struggle) against Blackpool at home at the same time though. The baggies will come good as the season kicks-in... the dingles will be found out & found wanting, I'm sure leaky hennessey will one day keep a clean sheet, but time will tell

I reckon we'll both be up there. Hennessey will only improve as the season goes on, and there was nothing he could do about the goal, excellent strike. Personally, I'd like us to see us both go up (Wolves above you obviously ) and then we can have the pleasure of watching the derby in the top flight. You've got a very good squad for this division, there's no point denying that, and wouldn't be surprised to see you take automatic. Preferably second behind us. Let's see some games to the quality of the first leg, brilliant advert for the division and the derby itself.

Good post Agree with alot of it, apart from you finishing above us and I don't see Hennessey as being a 1st team keeper anytime soon... Either way, good luck and see you at the other end ;D

My first post in this thread was when we'd just lost to the blades... and I thought a dingle couldn't make theirself look worse than they already did (then again Morecambe did a good job of that )

Albion4life. Ellington for 3.5M is he worth it ? I'd rather have Gera to help Priskin settle. And is Robbo set to move. I heard he was unstettled. You've done us on both deals methinks.

Well we're extremely happy to get what you paid for him as he hasn't had the best of spells with the baggies. Most albion fans will either say he hasn't been given enough starts or that he hasn't done enough when he does play. All in all I think he'll be good if consistently played alongside King, he might even get close to the 24 he scored for Wigan alongside Jason Roberts. He did seem quite lazy last season but that's possibly because he's wanted a move for 1st team football. It's a good deal for everyone involved in my eyes ...and Robbo would go today if a premiership club would take him but rumour has it that he was born without a certain ligament in his knee, which is why he can't pass a medical... IMO he'll be here for a while yet.

The baggies will come good as the season kicks-in... the dingles will be found out & found wanting, I'm sure leaky hennessey will one day keep a clean sheet, but time will tell I thought Albion played some good stuff at times, particularly in the first half. You were moving the ball about quite smoothly. It was only really after we scored that you began to look second best for a long period. And had Beattie's marker not gone AWOL, that goal would probably not have been scored. Also, I thought your goalkeeper wasn't your problem. I can remember him making at least two good saves - one in the first half from Armstrong, and at the end of the game from Beattie. Both were from well struck shots that would have gone in but for him. It was more in the centre of defence that I thought you had difficulty. You couldn't seem to deal with the deep diagonal crosses coming in from the left - mainly from Geary
