Just read somewhere that MJ might be interested in a swap deal between Carrick and RVN, I hope that isn't true

Hey Mort Man U made a 10m pound bid for Carrick but it was turned down thankfully but now I saw somewhere a swap deal could be on but hopefully its all just rumours. I don't want RVN at Spurs, he is to old now and his wages would be through the roof

Hello SB, Mort. The news on Carrick is looking bad: www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,27-2219160,00.html sport.independent.co.uk/football/man_united/article754469.eceI suppose if he won't sign a new deal, then the only alternative is keeping an unhappy player. We should be able to hold out for 15 million, although I don't see why we don't demand 20 million and if United refuse, then that is their problem. I don't think the RVN rumours are true. If we won't pay Carrick, then we cannot afford Ruud.

Carrick has two more years on his current four-year contract. At 15k pw he is obviously underpaid, but I don't see why we wouldn't pay 40k.
United can offer CL football, a higher salary (say 60-70k) and the prospect of playing with Rooney and Ronaldo. He might be a good fit for United.
Of course, it may just be Sir Alex showing his class and trying to unsettle England players.

There is no reason we wouldn't pay him 40k, its not as if we can't afford to True they can offer all that, but we are finally going places and Man U imo are nowhere near as good as they once where, it would be stupid for him to move but then as a spurs fan I would say that

50k per week could be quite persuasive.
