Hiya ITFC fan here just wondering how you were feeling about the appointment ok Roy Keane. I wasn't keen on Jim Magilton taking over at Town tbh as he's a novice and thought that Niall Quinn made a mistake appointing himself, and then Keane. I guess it'll either work really well or turn out really badly. I thought you'd appoint a fairly big name manager after the takeover.
Which brings me to the second question...the takeover..hows that worked exactly, sounds like you've really been splashing the cash with more to come?! Has the debt been pretty much cleared then or has it been "restructured" (like ours) and the money is going straight into purchases?
Cheers folks vaalae

nah the debt is still alive and well - thats why they bought the club so cheaply cos they took on the debt too.
it is manageable and structured tho and although we've bought 13 new players, we actually sold a few first and we havent laid much cash out as a result - maybe another mill on top of what we recouped from selling hoolio, davis, kyle, mcartney etc

Keane had talks with us in the closing stages of last season and the last ones in the summer however he wasnt interested in the job for the salary (£1m a year) we were prepared to offer him.
Will he be a good manager? only time will tell but i would think so if he takes his knowledge gained from Clough and Ferguson into management, however it may not happen over night.
