Just heard on Sky Sports News at the post-match press conference - Niall Quinn has said that there will be a new manager in charge by the weekend. Hasn't revealed who it might be though.

It was in the paper the other day Niall Quinn is offering him the managers job OR director of football and seeing as you lost 2-0, and got no points, I'll give you your first exalt

i'm not sorry quinn is stepping down as manager - he'll make a far better chairman - i dont think he has the necessary mean streak to be a gaffer
still 100% behind him though

His old mate David O'Leary. The conspiracy theorist in me reckons that'll happen anyway. O'Leary engineered the whole thing at Villa because he knew he couldn't do jack there and that he'd already burned his bridges with the fans. Of course he couldn't join the Black Cats straight away, as that would have looked dodgy. So who better to keep his office warm for him than Quinn?

I think even with a new manager France will have had more military victories than you will with the new manager

Waiting for Quinn to confirm first I'm still hoping Allardyce

Allardyce is very very very very unlikely. Bolton won't even let us talk to him!
