why ever did we let Thornton go? He was a decent player who was playing well in midfield, plus he looked like he could fit in quite well in the prem. I mean I know he had a drinking problem and all that, but could someone please tell me why he left?

Presumably it was felt he couldn't hack it in the Prem? Oh hang on...

oh well. We have a decent midfield still, in fact I'd like to see a sort of a 4-3-1-2 formation next season with Murphy just behind the strikers, either him or Elliot, with Leadbitter in the centre of the midfield three.

I think you will do ok next season but I can't see you in the top 6. That said even when you came down last time with what we all thought was a crap team you did very well so who knows?

exactly Marty. Then again the CCC is a tough league, you can't ever tell who's going to do well. I think considering all teams in it are reasonably even it's tougher to escape from than the premiership.
