saints have rejected a £2.5million bid from Fulham for defender chris baird, calling the bid 'exceptionally small for a player of chris' calibre' ... or along those words anyway.
good, he's worth more than 2.5mill, should hold out for £4mill i think, though i'd rather he stayed and we got the takeover then selling our best assests in desperate need for cash.

A very good chance of the two clubs swapping places next season IMO Rich if we can keep hold of our best players, and get investment for a centre back, replacement left back, and sign danny guthrie and marek saganowski permanantlely... we could well push for the top two. if not, then no we won't. in terms of fulham, i hear they are going to spend some big bucks with Mr Fayed, so who knows what may happen.
