Bit of a puzzler this one.
He's not proven at the top level (never mind Championship level) but I spose he's got time on his side.
Does Dowie know something we don't? Has he seen him do things we haven't?!

Perhaps Dowie has seen a quality in SW that he likes and i guess he feels with a little more guidance and improvement, he has the makings of a top player

I can understand he's never shown his best as he rarely, if not at all, got to play at CB where he felt most comfortable but when he did play, he was poor. His distribution is very poor, his heading is wayward and his tackling leaves a lot to be desired! Maybe Dowie does know something the fans don't but i'll be sad to see the lad go (plus he was quite cute )

Yes typical 'bird' Well because he's not at a certain age he doesnt command a fee although we do get compensation and it is rumoured to be around 500k which i think is about right.

Spose that'll be about right but he's still under contract too but not on a high wage..

He will progress well i reckon he'll get a chance as the competition is not as strong at Charlton as say Liverpool when they came a knocking last season

he can play centre back or centre mid correct? i think he will have tough competition in both areas to be fair, he probably has more chance of appearing in midfield. maybe dowie will give him a run in pre-season, i'm looking forward to seeing what he is like.

He can but when he's played in either for Leeds he's been crap and that'd be putting it mildly. Obviously he has time on his side but he'll need to improve a lot before he's Premiership standard, most notably with his passing which is wayward at the best of times.. Good luck to him though, signed on a 4yr deal today (I believe).
