Tal Ben Haim has reportedly been fined two weeks' wages for breaking ranks to criticise Avram Grant.
The Israeli defender told the Sun on Wednesday that he knew "nothing good" would come out of Grant's appointment as Chelsea coach and said he only signed for the Blues because of Jose Mourinho.
He also claimed that Mourinho told him he would be a first-choice defender when he joined on a free transfer from Bolton.
Grant said: "It is internal business but, in my opinion, if a player was wrong we need to deal with it - in our way, my way."
Apparently, that way is to fine him two weeks' wages - which is a massive £80,000.
Ben Haim has not played in a Premier League match since February 2.
