Southend-Roots Hall
The ground is pretty old and tiny BUT the atmopshere inside was electric and probably sounded like double the capacity. Parking was very shit and a bit of a trek to and from the stadium. Sometimes its refreshing to go to the old style small grounds like this to experience a tangeable atmosphere that you sometimes don't get at the newer grounds. The views for anyone at the back would have been shit but seeing as i was in row 3 i was alright. Southend fans contributed to the atmosphere but once again, the Leeds fans proved why they are the best set of fans in this country away from home at least.
I'll give it a solid 7 out of 10.

i've been to roots hall - twas forgettable I thought it was alright. The stadium sucked considerably but on the otherhand it made a change to go to a tiny ground packed to the rafters because the atmosphere was rockin'. Don't mention the toilets though...i think the ones Comic Relief showed in Africa had them beat!

St Mary's Good: The stewards were excellent, they were very friendly, didn't bother about us standing up and were sympathetic when dealing with the Leeds fans who were being forced to stand in the aisles. The Elland Road gestapo should take note. The stadium is pretty nice, the away allocation was a good size and the acoustics were great. Plenty of legroom too. Most of the Saints fans were pretty friendly before the game. The home atmosphere was 'alright', the saints fans on either side of us were singing there 2 songs quite a lot, but the other end of the ground was like a library. Nice view too Bad: Possibly the most annoying announcer to ever exist! Parking is quite limited. The area around the ground is a bit of a dive, and it was quite a walk to get something decent to eat. The police were a bit OTT as per usual. Also £2.80 for a pint inside the ground is a bit steep for us poor Northerners The concourse and the allocation was too small for the number of fans it was holding, you could hardly move at half time, the toilets were tiny, and there were more fans than seats- so I had to share my seat, and people were stood in the aisles. And some chavs decided to start throwing shit at us at the end of the game from behind the police, stewards and a net, but didn't like it when they got it back. 9/10 IMO, one of my best away trips so far

St Marys was one of the best grounds I've been to (PR being the best of course ) I don't think I can write a report on Carrow Road, because of it being an East Anglian Derby probably won't give an accurate review of the atmosphere. Plus, well, it being Norwich, can't really write a balanced report

Even more annoying than our announcer?? ...Yes, far worse. He was a Yank or an Aussie, dressed all in red- sounded a pillock, and looked a pilock. Loving your sig picture!

Oh, Rich if you read this, I'm not sure whether Norwich do chicken balti pies, however I think it was different for us because it was a 12-noon kick off and we had breakfast pies (no, I didn't have one, we went into Morrisons)
