Ince to weigh up Swindon proposal
Paul Ince will visit Swindon on Thursday to make a decision on whether to join the club as a player-coach.
Swindon boss Dennis Wise has offered his former England team-mate a contract but Ince, 38, has also been linked to Birmingham, West Brom and Walsall.
"Paul is thinking hard about Swindon," his agent Steve Kutner told the Western Daily Press. "He will have a look round and obviously Dennis is a friend.
"But three more clubs are in the chase and he wants to make the right choice."
Ince was recently overlooked for the manager's post at Wolves after his playing contract expired in June.
The midfielder criticised Wolves for allowing him to leave and stated that he was keen to move into coaching.
Proudlock battles for a future with County
ADAM Proudlock is bidding to earn himself a future at Stockport County after arriving at Edgeley Park on a non-contract basis.
The 25-year-old striker is a free agent after being released by Ipswich at the end of last season and has impressed County boss Jim Gannon in his first few days' training with the club.
Gannon will not rush into making a decision on Proudlock, who started his career at Wolves, but is likely to register him as a non-contract player initially, then give him a few weeks to prove he is worth a deal.
"We are giving the lad an opportunity to prove himself," Gannon said. "There's no doubt he has got the ability.
"He is more than capable if he keeps up his level of match fitness. We'll review him in five or six weeks."
Proudlock spent most of last season at Ipswich after being sacked by Sheffield Wednesday last September for disciplinary reasons, but he struggled to make an impact at Portman Road and missed a chunk of the season with a knee injury.
Gannon has made no secret of the fact that he is looking to bolster a strikeforce which has managed just one goal in three league games.
Wycombe snap up defender on loan
Reading defender Scott Golbourne has signed for Wycombe Wanderers on loan.
The 18-year-old England under-19 international, who joined Reading from Bristol City in January, could make his debut for Wycombe on Saturday.
The defender is expected to complete the paperwork on Friday on an initial one-month loan deal.
Wanderers boss Paul Lambert has been searching for a defender since the departure of Clint Easton to Gillingham on a free transfer in June.
