Well its official... Shame to hear in a way I mean at least the new consortium is cutting debt before they build it back up again Cardiff are in it deep now Well apparently they are having half the debt wiped now and the other half paid off fully inside a year. Plus they are getting money for the next transfer window and pushing ahead with their stadium. Whats the catch, i repeat, whats the catch?

Whats the catch, i repeat, whats the catch? Hi, Hope you don't mind me intruding on your discussion but I suspect that the phrase "an agreement has now been reached for a debt for equity swap with institutional hedge funds" (edit: from the official statement) might hold the answer. What's a 'debt for equity' swap? What's a hedge fund? Might be worth investigating.

well I found the below definition... but I still don't have the foggiest fuck how all this financial stuff works...
hedge fund
noun

Personally i'm glad to see the back of Sam, he was amazing at the start and he saved us from going under by buying the club but after years of overspending he just got us into too much debt, this sale will half that debt and will clear it within 12months and also give Dave Jones some cash to bring in new players so that can only be a good thing. Although the fact that Ridsdale is the new chairman has me worried!!
