Can't see this thread getting busy later, seeing as most (Well, me and sooz) are going to the match but whateverness ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) ----- West Brom boss Bryan Robson has named the same squad from Saturday's victory against Hull. Robson is taking the same 18 players to Ninian Park - the 16 involved in the 2-0 success plus rookie strikers Stuart Nicholson and Rob Elvins. Cardiff skipper and centre-back Darren Purse is doubtful to face his old club after straining his calf on Saturday. Roger Johnson is poised to deputise and make his full debut, but Kevin Cooper is still suffering from a knee strain.

Cracking match which we should have won, defence was solid (ok the slipped up for the West Brom goal 4 mins in) we outplayed them in all areas but just wasted too many chances. Roger Johnson did well stepping in for Purse, Chopra was fantastic only player i was disappointed with was Parry he thinks about things far too much and by the time he puts a cross into the box the chance has gne we need Koumas simple as we need a midfielder that will just go with his instincts and not just stop and have a think about things for what seems like forever!!
But i'm happy with getting a point seeing as most thought that West Brom would have a fairly easy 3 points from last night.
Oh and the abuse Hartson got!! That was fun! ;D

I have a new favourite player!!! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) I agree with all just said, but still, Parry's been a good player for us to step up from Hereford for 75000..baaaargain! ;D I'm shutting up about Koumas now, if I keep moaning bout how much we need him I'll get more disappointed if we don't. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) Defo deserved to win, good to see we're getting the performances now. Thompson and Chopra are amazing together, as are Scimeca and McPhail, plus Purse and Loovens. And that was very fun! He nearly squished half our players though, fat bastard ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)

Was happy with Scimeca but he does need to work on his passing he gave the ball away a few too many times but other than that he had a decent match. Thompson and Chopra what a pairing up front! work brilliantly together we def had the best deal selling Jerome for a few million and getting Chopra for 500k he works hard and is all over the pitch and tracks back which is something that Jeromre very rarely did. Possibly the best match i've seen at Ninian for a few years. I reckon some of that abuse got to him aswell the stuff about his wife i was in stitches!!

Willo Flood is highly rated by Page (Not sure whether to trust his judgement though!) but I'd like to see him play sometime. Does need more work, but he's had a better season so far than last year and 'Macca' will bring out the best in him. What a game to get a goal though! ;D Definately! Much more of a fierce player as well (I say that but who got sent off last week again? ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) ) and will work hard to get the ball. Nearly knocked their goalie out in the second half ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) One of the best I've seen all time. First time we've looked comfortable in a game with no major flaws, great chance of playoffs this year. Subs bench isn't looking too bad either!! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Lol it was very good, great atmosphere!

My father in law said Flood is a decent player (he's a Coventry fan) so hopefully will get to see that soon! Still early days and i'm suer he will improve his game overall and yeah def the best game for him to get a goal in. If we play like that week in week out we must be in with a shout at the play offs i just hope that the same thing as last season doesn't happen have a good first half of the season then a bit of a crap second half.

Manager Comments:
Cardiff boss Dave Jones: "We gave West Brom a good game and this was a yardstick for us as we matched them all the way. "I thought there was power and pace in our play and the movement all round was good.
"We pounded them for 80 minutes, but then they used their experience to take the sting out of it as the game drew to a close."
West Brom boss Bryan Robson: "It was a very competitive game and Cardiff threw everything at us but we hung on and perhaps finished the stronger. "On this form Cardiff are sure to be challenging for play-off places at the end of the season as they played with a lot of energy, passed the ball well and caused us problems.
"It was only in the closing minutes that I felt we gradually got on top and at the end we were the most likely side to nick the victory."
