Coventry City have paid a £100,000 fee for Livingston full back David McNamee. Micky Adams watched the 25 year old,who is a Scottish international appearing in their last two internationals v Bulgaria and Japan, in action last month. McNamee completed a medical at the Arena yesterday and agreed a three year deal said to The Scotsman: I'm hoping to help Coventry back into the Premiership where they belong." The fee is the most City have paid for a player since £250,000 was paid to Birmingham City for Stern John. Micky Adams told the club's website: "We've watched David on numerous occasions and know that we have acquired a very good right-back who has excellent defensive qualities. "In addition to this, he's a confident lad who isn't afraid of getting forward when he needs to and I'm sure that he will settle in quickly as part of the group here. I look forward to working with him when the players report for pre-season training at the end of the month."
