With Gerard suspended, and with so many loose passes on Saturday, is it time for Mclaren to eat humble pie and pick Englands best crosser and best free kick taker?
I find it hard to believe there is any one better available for this game?

Well at the moment I think we should drop Lamps and put Becks back on.

Becks cant be called up for that game, squad is already named, but he should come back just for back up!

I don't think you'll see him in the squad again, basically he was too far up Svens arse. I think thats what it's all about!

what extra can he give us that he didn't give us before. Yes, he can take a free kick but that's about it.
Likely to be a defensive, backs against the wall job against Croatia. He's not the type of player I would want for this one

I think they should all drink Becks before, during and after the game.

He's not the type of player I would want for this one Beckham offers another option for England. You can have the pace of Shaun Wright Phillips, Aaron Lennon etc but no one can compete with Beckham when it comes to crossing ability. For future games, I would at least have Beckham in the squad. If we ever need to play the long ball game to Crouch or whatever then Beckham is the man. Can you really imagine SWP or Lennon or any other Winger playing perfect 60 yard passes?

Crouch and Rooney can't play together! Players keep long balling it to Crouch means Rooney won't get involved. That twat Lampard shouldn't be in the squad! A shocking World Cup and he still keeps his place! Parker must play, but I think Ledley King could do the job in midfield too

We shouldn't need to play 60 yard long ball passes to Crouch. Sometimes in football you have to play that style. I'm not a big fan of the long ball but if you are in a situation where you are in desperate need to score (i.e 90th minute and you are a goal behind)...then trying to walk the ball into the net is not always the best option. Plus the fact that crouch wins a lot of headers means that we have a decent target man. If we was playing Owen and Rooney upfront then the long ball would be stupid but it's not so stupid with Crouch up front.

We shouldn't need to play 60 yard long ball passes to Crouch. yEAH LETS GIVE THE BALL TO ROONEY HE'S ON GREAT FORM! I despair at our team sometimes. Play Sidwell I guarantee he'd be bloody great for England. But Reading are not fasionable enough to have a player picked for England!

I cannot understand people that say beckham isnt good enough to be in the england team....HE IS!
But that said we are building for the future and giving others ago to give them experience, but personally i think beckam was and still is a better player than frank lampard,so i'd like to see beckam back in the team.
PS Becks has shown more passion in an england shirt in 1 game than ive seen from lampard in 15 games.
