Hull City have signed Manchester United striker Frazier Campbell on-loan in time to face Watford this weekend.
Having come through the ranks at Old Trafford, the 20-year-old hitman is being sent out to gain more first-team experience until January.
He has made two senior appearances for the Red Devils so far this season, in the League Cup defeat to Coventry and as a substitute in the derby loss to Manchester City.
Campbell is originally from Huddersfield and the move will see him compete for a place up front alongside Caleb Folan, Dean Windass and Jay-Jay Okocha.
Red Devils youth team coach Eric Harrison has previously said the striker reminds him of Mark Hughes because of his bravery, but his main attribute is his pace.
He was originally a target for Tigers boss Phil Brown in summer and describes himself as someone who plays off a frontman.
Assessing his own game on manutd.com, Campbell said: "My speed and athleticism are my main assets. I like to drop off and turn with the ball so I can run at defenders."
Campbell was top scorer for the Academy Under-18s as a first year scholar in 2004-05, scoring 14 goals in 22 starts.
His performances at youth level led to him being called up to the second string, where he played five games and scored once before becoming a regular fixture in the side.
He was handed the No.51 squad number in November 2005 and signed professional forms in March 2006.
Campbell was also a second half substitute in Roy Keane’s testimonial match against Celtic at Old Trafford on 9 May 2006.
He then embarked on a loan move to Royal Antwerp at the start of the 2006-07 season, and quickly became a favourite with the fans, who nicknamed him 'Super Campbell'.
Not a bad signing at all!
