We lost 2-0, but I really enjoyed the way we played! Good, passing football where we outplayed villa for large parts of the match. Two defensive blunderson the counter attack- just goes to show how important it is to take your chances the higher up we go. EEE IIIII EEEE IIIII EEEEE IIIIII OOOOO

Totally agree with you! I thought Marney and Welsh worked really well together in the middle, with Welsh holding back to allow Marney to push on. Burgess didn't play well enough for me, Duffy didn't get much service, i thought Fags did well. Asyou say, two defensive blunders cost us, but if we can cut those out, and be more clinical at finishing, i reckon we should have an enjoyable season! And it's ULLLLLLL CITY! ULLLLLLLLL CITY FC!! ;d

In that case our performance against Mansfield must be twice as promising as yours (we lost 4-0) ;D

All joking asside smug owl, the performance was sooooo different to that seen under Peter Taylor. Good passing of the ball, forward play, very little hoofing. Every Tiger there left with spirtits high and a promise of what this season will bring. Jeeez that sounds fanatical!!!!

They sure are Smug! Can't wait to see their faces when they realise the long ball game has been resurected at Selhurst
