After the promoted teams from 2005 all stayed up, and finished in the same order as they were promoted is next year when it changes? Pre-season both the Owls and Tigers have made some quality signngs while Luton have well let's be kind and say have signed players you would be disappointed with. I can see both of us overtaking Luton this year and i'm delighted. I hate Newell the little turd. He absolutely slated us all through the playoffs and i'd love the smug, attention seeking git to go down this year.
Rant over.

Can't say I disagree with you but I do think MK is a good manager, he should have moved during the summer

A good manager he may be, but he should how he felt about Wednesday when we were promoted, we're just returning the fovour.
And let's see how he does without Howard ;D

Lets hope L*ton go down, to make up for the season they enjoyed last Luton are punching above their weight, end of. If they got a bigger, better stadium, and perhaps a bigger fanbase and some decent finances, they could become bigger, but until then, they will struggle. Wednesday and City to both finish mid-table pretty much unseperable inseperable, with Luton struggling and languishing just above relgation fodder. Up the Tigers and Owls! PS. Only upping the Owls because i don't like Luton in this situation

Oooh, I see how it is, the claws are coming out now! We'll see who's got the last laugh at the end of the season! I know we're not a big club, we've got a shit stadium, no finances, just sold two key players, signed less-than-inspiring names... ...I was going somewhere with that Seriously though, I reckon we can manage without them. Less of the schadenfreude though!

I've never had a problem with Luton before, until Newell the scouse twat. He hates Wednesday and we're more than happy to reciprocate that feeling.
Seriously, i think your going to be in big trouble next year. Last season for the first 10 games Luton had a blinder while the Owls won one and drew a few more. At that point you were already 11 points ahead of us. The next 36 games we collected 2 more points than you, It's clear from that teams had figured you out and now you've lost two of your best players. Add them to Davies and who has been brought in to replace them?

Granted, it's looking somewhat bleak at the moment... The two we've signed are basically unknown to me, and the board won't give Newell much of the £4.7m we've gotten over the last 12 months... The only major plus of this summer has been that we've offloaded Showumni! Looks like another season relying on our talented youngsters before having them snapped up at the end too Still fancy us for survival, which is all we could realisticaly ask this season anyway, but it's gonna be a harder fight than I'd like, the way things are going... Maybe I should come out of retirement and show 'em all how it's done

I think the R-word may be a bit of a stretch though - I mean, you've got Naaarwich, we've got Watford; do we honestly need anyone else?

Neko, do you have any more up and coming youngsters? I know Davies was the crown jewell but are there more? P.S. You really need to keep hold of Vine, he destroyed us when you came to our place.

From what I'm aware, we've got a goalie coming through who's reputedly looking a hot prospect, and Leon Barnett also showed encouraging signs last season - he's no Curtis Davies, but he was improving pretty much every game. Kevin Foley (left-back) is a hot (or at least prett damn warm) talent too (kept Kewell in his pocket pretty much all night against Liverpool) and is only 21, so there's a fair bit of promise there. It's frustrating really - Luton do propduce a hell of a lot of good youth players (John Moore left a brilliant set-up for nurturing talent, it seems), but we can never hold on to them for long enough. Without the new stadium, we're stuck in a vicious cycle of success and sales

We're just starting to produce some good youngster ourselves, give it another couple of years and i think we'll have some proper gems coing through. ;D

I've heard Keith Keane is a half decent player Neko. Or is that me dreaming things up/playing on Footie Manager too much?

I think he's gonna be one of those ones that depends how hard he's willing to work now - it could either go very well, or very badly. I know which option I'm gunning for! ;D

When I went to Kenilworth Road, I found the Luton fans sitting to the right rude, but then I saw Monty Panesar and was happier. Get a better stadium though, the annoucement system is crap!!! Newell is a bit too big for his own boots, and needs to learn when to keep his mouth shut. Has anything come of that bungs thing that he was talking about?

They've promised to have a full investigation into the bungs business; don't know whether that's come to anything or not. In all fairness, I did respect him for the bungs bit, because it did need to be said, but some of the other stuff he's come out with has made me cringe. And yeah, the ones to the right of the away end are mostly (not all) wannabe-hooligans. Too wussy to actually start a fight, but got a lot of mouth on them. I like good-natured banter and all, it's half of what makes the matches fun, but there's definitely a group that goes too far On behalf of Luton, I apologise for their obnoxiousness?
