Some team news: It is expected that Alex Bruce is out with a groin injury, so Wilnis will come into central defence. Sito is still recovering from a nasty knock he received in the match against Burnley. Harding picked up an minor injury against Leicester, but is expected to be passed fit to start. However, Matt Richards is back from his spell in Brighton, so Jim could call on him if he's required. Hopefully Walters will start on the right, as he's by far more effective there, although if Lee requires a rest, Walters could go upfront. Apart from the change in the defence, it looks likely to stay the same. Danny Haynes is far more effective coming off the bench than he is starting. Come on Town. Let's pick up these first three points. If we can't beat Coventry, what hope is there... ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)

None whatsoever.
On another note, looks like I might get the chance to go up to Portman Road next month...

Oh get in Haynes! And for the first time in a while, we've conceded less than 2 in a first half away! ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png)

Sums up our away form. If we can't beat Coventry, we're just screwed to be honest. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

watched the game on sky at the pub
thought we did well for 55 mins, with coventry being useful before the 1st goal, n after they got their 2nd. That proves that when ur on top, u have 2 make it count !
gonna have a slight moan about the ref, clear as day peno on Lee. How he didn't give it was his call..... but when ur lucks out its out. Ne way we got a lucky 1 vs Leicester so - what goes around comes around !
scoring the 1st goal away = seems 2 be a problem. I play footy, n when u go 1 goal down it makes it a lot lot harder work........
ne way we were much better than the leicester wank ! didn't deserve 2 lose - but after the 2nd cov goal didn't have a clue
bright points = well done haynes, garvan, wright. all good in general. nice to see Rhodes getting minutes
bad = defensive rubbish,,,,, counago diving,,,,,,,, lee off form again

I made it a double-bill this Christmas and followed my trip to the Walkers with tonight's trip to the Ricoh. (I fucking hate Cov. I'm not really a Leicester fan but my allegiance regarding which is the better city - Coventry or Leicester - is very much in favour of the East Midlands!) Thankfully we weren't as shite as we were at Leicester, otherwise I might have considered leaving at half time (Lol!). As has often happened this season, we played one good half and one crap half, not getting as much as we deserved in the good half and completely losing the game in the bad one. We had some good chances first half, Lee's header being perhaps the best before Haynes actually scored. I'm glad we got the goal cos we deserved it in that first half (I thought Cov were crap in the lead-up to half time and my Cov-supporting mate agreed). But second half... what the fuck was that performance about, honestly. Really dire. I wasn't too impressed with the ref either - some dodgy decisions (e.g. Town player is hacked down so it's clearly a Cov free kick...?!?! ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ) and the Tommy Miller sending off was the worst. I couldn't see it from our end and to be honest I missed the first booking. But when I got back and saw it recorded at my mates' house, it was clear to me he was trying to block the ball and not that much contact was made. Either way, 0pts from my two Christmas games, and Ipswich won't be back in the Midlands until around my birthday in two months time, so either I've got to travel much further for the same old rubbish, or wait and hope that we've got our arses in gear on our travels by February. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) Merry Christmas...
