Hi KJ, I think he'll stay. If he's played a part in Alexander coming in by singing the club's praises I don't think he's looking to go. The reports of him being settled in the area also allay my fears. I think he will be holding out for a better contract as it will be his last decent one. Either that or he's waiting to see if anyone else comes in for him ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

He's told Alexander and indeed everyone else that he absolutely loves it at Ipswich, both as a club and as a place to live. So I very much doubt he wants to leave.
I think he's realised that the club was willing to pay Francis Jeffers quite a high sum and that he is very highly valued at Portman Road, so I reckon he wants to squeeze more cash out of a new deal.

he can fuck off, quite frankly i like alan lee. i really do quite rate him as a player, a nightmare for a lot of defenders and with a goal return thats the best since the dreamteam of Bent/Kuqi!
HOWEVER - the crunch is this. He's got one year left on his contract. IF he loves Ipswich as much as he claims he does, he wouldn't even hesitate to accept our offer to make him our top earner, on a 3 year deal ! I mean a 3 year contract for a club in £35 mill = VERY VERY VERY rare. Also them terms, EXTREMELY RARE.
I'm sorry, but he MUST go. Don't know who he thought he was after Amsterdam, and i don't know who he thinks he is now.
The board at Ipswich have got to look at the bigger picture. Hull have already offered £600k for a player almost 30, and are rumoured to be increasing it further still. If they do, it surely HAS to be accepted, as this money will help lower the debt repayment and ensure we don't allow a player to go for free.
Its simple business at the end of the day people, and i predict he'll be out the door within 2 weeks ( i do business management at uni!)
