Chairman David Sheepshanks has confirmed that he has made an approach to Blackburn Rovers regarding the availability of striker Franny Jeffers. The Blues have been told that Mark Hughes will decide whether he wants to keep the striker after their season ends next week.Jeffers has another year on his contract and may cost a fee, although Rovers might be willing to allow the free signing from Charlton to leave for nothing. Benni McCarthy, Jason Roberts, Matt Derbyshire, Paul Gallagher and Shabani Nonda are all ahead of Jeffers in the Ewood Park pecking order and Craig Bellamy is tipped to make a summer return from Liverpool.Source: TWTD(Sorry Han, I know you already posted a link to this somewhere but thought it deserved a thread of its own ) Surely it has to be good news? 5 strikers are ahead of Franny at Ewood Park, and with Bellamy possibly signing in the summer, Jeffers won't want to be 7th in line, and surely Mark Hughes would then agree to let him go. Great news that we could get him for a cut-price or even free. Roll on next week, can't wait to find out what'll happen!

Exciting times over at Portman Road! I hope we can sign him, and I think he's one of the keys to what we do next season, as we need an experienced striker. (Alan Lee could be classed as experience, but yesterday he seemed to be hanging around and expecting a ball to come. He must've been pretty pissed off when Jon Walters came on and scored twice...) (And don't worry about it

Yeah, deffinately a monstrously huge key as to how we do next season.
Two 20 goal a season men is a must, He could easily be one, and Alan Lee could be the other. Although I am concerned as to whether or not Alan will be able to continue his form of this season into next.
Agree he ddin't have the best game yesterday. You're right, must've been fuming to see Walters score twice in quick succesion like that! lol

Someone said when we were getting autographs and saw him getting into his car (all the players car share I think to keep us green, which I think is really funny!), and said; "If only he could move as fast as his car..." Think it was a Porsche... We should sign Speedy Gonzalez
