Inspired by Nik, the QPR fan, I thought I'd do a diary thing. So...
After an early morning, and an hour's journey, here we go. My dad has a thing of wanting to eat before going to the ground, so me, clad in blue and white with an Ipswich scarf, shirt and no jumper made our way into Morrisons. My worst nightmare greeted me (no, not Delia Smith) just a sea of yellow and green. Thankfully, there were Town fans all in the centre of the cafe...
1-1 was a fair result. First half, we were piss poor, Gary Roberts and David Wright especially. And we just weren't defending.
Second half, much, much better. Peters and Roberts were playing better having swapped wings and we got a deserved equaliser. (Roberts came over to take a corner and started waving his arms to signal more noise).
In the first half, the Norwich fans sang to us; "We forgot that you were here", but then we got revenge second half. And also sang to them; "You're going down with your sister" and clapped the 'Adams Family theme tune.
We were told three times we had to stay behind afterwards; for our own safety to which we all went 'Ahhhhh!' to the Norwich fans... Loved the fact some people took inflatable aliens in for Earnshaw!
And after the match, when all the Norwich fans finally went, they'd stayed long enough for the Town players to come out and warm down. So Fabian Wilnis is a blue, is a blue, is a blue was sang over and over again, with Danny Haynes as well.
But as well as the Town players, the Norwich players came out, so everytime they came past us they were greeted with 'Scum, scum, scum' and especially Darren Huckerby (cheating diver! But we already knew that with our Huckerby's a wanker, he wears a wanker's hat. He plays for Norwich City, and he's a... well you get the idea. He gave us a wave the second time.
Overall, a great day. As I'd said before it may've been a draw, but having seen so many 1-0 losses on the road, it was a moral victory for me Also, as my first away East Anglian Derby, I was just overcome with the occasion. I tried to get videos, but ended up giving up and deleting them.
Who's the Pride of Anglia?
Well, four points off the Budgies, I think we can happily accept that crown! ;D
Yeeeah, I was bored. So I took a picture of the signpost to Norwich. Only took over an hour to get there from where I live. My dad avoided the A140 and went the Thetford way (none of you probably have a clue what I'm on about... )
Well, this ticket is from after the game, but I thought I'd take a picture to show you that if you decide to go next season, what you can expect when you open the envelope
Going to the ground. Not very pretty on the inside.
Yellow is such a nasty colour!
Once again bored, but this was after the game. We're the right side, we're the right side... ;d
Saw this advert before it all filled up and just thought, oh dear. ;D
(It says; Let's be sleepin' you )
Blue Army!
Pre-match, with us taunting Norwich fans by singing; We beat the scum 3-1! ;d
After the equaliser. We just went absolutely mental where I was sat. I was jumping up and down, forgetting I was sitting next to the stairs and we were all in the aisles and everything! Gave my mum and massive hug with happiness ;d ;d ;d ;d ;d
Full time. Still taunting Norwich fans. ;D
Most of the players threw their shirts in the crowd and came over to us. Fabian Wilnis is a blue was sang with great joy
(You can see the Norwich fans to the right leaving) We just sang our hearts out, WE LOVE YOU IPSWICH, WE DO! OH IPSWICH WE LOVE YOU!
Them warming down, and more Fabian Wilnis is a blue, loads of clapping and the Alan Lee song (not Alan Lee, Alan Lee, Alan Lee a different one)
And finally:
More of the warm down and the Blue Army. Really thought we were great in fan status. Sang our hearts out
Anywho, hope you liked it...
