Will we see him hit the back of the net come QPR on Saturday? It's been 6 games (5 league, 1 FA Cup) now, and many hours and we're still either firing over the bar (Gary Roberts especially) or firing it at the opposition keeper. Just what has caused our goal drought? Do we mess around the penalty area too much? We're trying to be too skilful and selfish, and just not passing and setting up. We either end up over doing it and losing possesion or being tackled by a defender, or just give the ball away. Do we pass back into our own half too much? Surely passing back should be a last resort due to pressure from the opposition attackers, or you genuinely think you can actually have a better chance of scoring through a different path to attack. But we seem to pass back at free kicks! We should be using these oppurtunities to get into the penalty area, not wasting them! Are we trying too hard to score from outside the area? We've had shots these past few games, but they've been blasted against the bar or over. (Legwinski & Harding are two that spring to mind from the past two weeks that have come close). Gary Roberts is one of the major, major culprites of just smashing it into Row Z and he's looked shocking recently. We know we can score from out there, well, Matt Richards did a few weeks ago and due to having not scored for that amount of games we're not lacking confidence in shooting outside of the area. Have we just had no luck? Dodgy decisions? Perhaps. Although the general feeling is that that Haynes goal was probably offside. Got any other suggestions? I'm all ears, and will shout them at Town from the Brittania Stand on Saturday... So, when will we next be seeing our beloved Town celebrate hitting the back of the net again? Let's hope it's soon. We are putting in performances (first half vs Southampton not included in this statement), but are lacking the killer touch. I've had my season ticket renewal thing come today, I (well my mum) will be renewing mine, whatever happens come the end of the season!

No, but I was using it at the time. I thought I carried it off well, what with also wearing my knee-length boots at the time. I couldn't get the Mika record, I hope Gwen Stefani will do!! Did you get it while getting the new Mika album for yourself for me and CG when you went shopping?

Will we see him hit the back of the net come QPR on Saturday? We will score this weekend against QPR, they are dreadful. Even Southend could score 5.
Do we mess around the penalty area too much? "We're trying to be too skilful and selfish, and just not passing and setting up. We either end up over doing it and losing possesion or being tackled by a defender, or just give the ball away." True.
Do we pass back into our own half too much? That doesn't cause a goal drought but its certainly true, far too many times on Saturday they had everybody behind the ball and instead of going forward it went back to Price for a hoof upfield.
Are we trying too hard to score from outside the area? We don't shoot at the right times, far too often we play a pass to many lose the opportunity or rush shots like Harding on Saturday that went miles wide. Legwinski and Harding hitting the bar is unlucky but we need to get closer to have a better chance of scoring.
Have we just had no luck? Although the general feeling is that that Haynes goal was probably offside- by 62cm according to Match of the day.

We're due a goal fest this season, put aside Luton due to their main defender having a stroke... Nice as it was, it could be said luck went our way that day! Our midfield just seems to panic and think that we just have to pass back. We're either not getting away from our man well and therefore not getting into space or we just think we don't have enough options. It happened versus Wolves as well. True. We just seem to panic or try to score wonder goals. Ah yes, I remember. That is very unlucky I don't care how we score, wonder goal, scrappy goal, own goal, penalty, I just want to see us score again and get these relegation fears out of the way!
