Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd:
"Ipswich is the game and we must make sure we win.
"Ipswich are a tough team, I've seen them play quite a bit and on their day they can beat anybody. "We've got to make sure we perform and we look to build on that great result against West Ham on Saturday."
Ipswich skipper Jason De Vos:
"It's a massive game and I genuinely believe we have a chance.
"If we were playing Man Utd or Chelsea it would be different as it would take a phenomenal effort to get a result.
"But with respect to a very good Watford side, we have a chance of gaining an upset."
BIG-MATCH FACTS
WATFORD arguably pulled off the upset of the fourth round in knocking out last season's beaten finalists West Ham with a 0-1 victory at Upton Park. The Premiership's bottom club proved that was no mere fluke by returning to the East End last Saturday and repeating the scoreline. It was only the third League maximum of the season for Aidy Boothroyd's side, but their fourth win in eight League and Cup outings.
The Hornets have been knocked out in the third round of the FA Cup in each of the last three seasons, and have not qualified for the last eight since reaching the semi-finals four years ago.
The Vicarage Road club 'doubled' Ipswich in the Championship last season, and are unbeaten in four against them.
IPSWICH TOWN faced Watford when they qualified for the FA Cup proper for the first time in their history just over 70 years ago. Town were in the Southern League at the time and the Hornets in League - Division Three South. Yet it was the Suffolk club who were victorious 2-1 at home, in the first round on 28 November 1936, through goals from Bruce and Carter. The sides have only been drawn against each once since. This time it was in the second round at Vicarage Road on 8 December 1956. Both clubs were in Division Three South, and Alf Ramsey's Ipswich again prevailed 1-3 with a brace from Ted Phillips and one from Tommy Garneys.
Town have exited at the third round stage in each of the last two seasons and are appearing in the fifth round for the first time since 1995-96. It's 14 years since they last qualified for the quarter-finals, going out 2-4 to Arsenal in an all-Premiership tie at Portman Road on 6 March 1993.
Jim Magilton's side, 15 places below Watford, struggled to get past League Two Chester in the third round, but made no mistakes, home to League One Swansea in round four. They travel to Hertfordshire without a goal in three matches, and without a win in five League and Cup games away from home, since a 1-2 triumph at Coventry on Boxing Day. The Suffolk side are in danger of setting an unwanted club record of six consecutive away games without scoring a goal.
What do we reckon then?
I'm looking forward to another away game, but I'm not too confident of winning, as I've stated somewhere else.
1. Our two main defenders are out.
2. We've not scored in 3 games
and 3. Having seen our performance against Leicester...
Just depends which Ipswich turn up!
But, anywho! Come on Ipswich!
