Well he fucking would, wouldn't he... Apologies for the gratuitous unnecessary use of taboo language there, but it just had a nice ring to it. ;D Lol! Funny, y'know, some names came back to me last night who I'd pretty much forgotten ever played for Town. Remember Dean McDonald?... Where is he now?!

Haven't the foggiest, I seem to have forgotten everything while staying up all night... We should call Ian Miller back. I don't care whether he may not have 'match experience', he scored yesterday and sounds a good prospect. Shame Bury Town have slipped up

It struck me yesterday - I was thinking about who Town's first-choice XIs would have been each season since I first became a Town fan in 2002, and I was surprised at some of the names - be they not necessarily first-choicers - which completely escaped my mind (though some more than others, as you'll see...):
Jermaine Wright - !! So many years he was in the first team! How could I forget?! Drissa Diallo - Ah, he was crap. George Santos - Ah, he was even worse. Chris Bart-Williams - Could've been a much better player, but... Tony Dinning - That loan guy from Wigan, no idea where he is now! Alun Armstrong - Where is he now? Darlington? Dean McDonald - As I said already, but remember that goal when he replaced Alan Lee against Crewe? Jimmy Juan - One of the stars of last season... and I didn't think of his name for ages!! Ian Westlake - !!! That's a real shocker! But we've done fine without him!

Chris bart williams has retired now due to persistent back injuries if i'm not mistaken, he played here in cyprus for a couple of seasons after he left ipswich.
Dinning is at stockport with Proudlock
Armstrongs at some team in league 2
Dean McDonald's at Gillingham

Speaking of ex-player's: Former Burnley, Arsenal and Ipswich defender Danny Karbassiyoon has been forced to retire from football at the age of 22 because of a knee injury. The American left Turf Moor last summer after having the remainder of his contract cancelled, and may now resume his studies in Virginia.
He made three Carling Cup appearances for the Gunners and had a six-game loan spell at Ipswich in the 2004/05 season.
However, he made just six substitute appearances during his year at Burnley.
"While he may have to give up football at an early age, he mustn't damage his knee for the rest of his life," Clarets boss Steve Cotterill told his club's website.
"As disappointing and upsetting as it is for him, he may have a family in a few years' time and has the rest of his life to contend with."
