(Story first reported in Rumour Mill pg17 - www.606championship.proboards62.com/index.cgi?board=ipswich&action=display&thread=1155130412&page=17#1169822912)23-year-old Chester City striker Jon Walters has signed for Ipswich today for around £250,000. He won't be able to play against Swansea tomorrow as he has already featured in the FA Cup for Chester, including the games against us. So, what do we think, Town fans? Disappointed, or just pleased we've finally bloody got a new striker? Put your views in the poll and add your comments here. I must admit, I'm slightly disappointed because I thought we were going to sign someone with experience at this level who could give us a real boost for the rest of the season (e.g. Steve Kabba), but Walters is only 23, hasn't done too badly in his career up to now, and who knows - look how Gary Roberts has done since he moved from a League Two club... but then again, look how Sam Parkin has done...! (That's why I picked answer 3!)
