On-loan Ipswich midfielder Simon Walton is expecting to return to his parent club Charlton in January. The 19-year-old, who can also play in defence, has made 14 appearances since joining the Championship club on a temporary basis in August. "Les Reed, the manager at Charlton, has said he would like me back and that I will go into his first-team plans," Walton told Ipswich's website. "So it looks as though that's what will happen, although nothing is certain." Walton joined Charlton from Leeds on a four-year contract in July, but was then soon loaned out to Ipswich before making a first-team appearance for the Addicks. What do you think? Maybe a good reason to try and bring Mark Noble back?

well now we have Garvan back........ ( who i feel is better.... ) im not TOO fussed however - walton - good player, and wud be nice 2 have him longer, obviously it isn't going 2 happen, and with him being a sub for us,,,, and being told by charlton he's got a shot of first team footy, seems the best thing overall !
noble back,, cud do !
but i like our midfield with Roberts/ Leggy / Garvan / Williams - i feel that is no worse than any midfield in the league meself but obviously we need subs n squad players
