Ipswich face wait on Lee injury
Ipswich striker Alan Lee will have a scan to determine any problems with a groin problem.

As much as I think that Alan Lee has his limitations, (lack of pace/touch/drive) it fills me with dread at the thought of him being out!
All this does is highlight the need to ship Macken out ASAP & get another striker in! Billy & Danny both need an "old sweat, target man" who can supply them for their own games to flourish. Someone in the Shefki/Sheringham/Lee role would suppliment them ideally IMO.
Any ideas as to who could fill this role within our January budget?

wudnt surprise me if sum1 quite good from league 1 came, like Justin Hayter, linked 2 him before, got a feeling he cud be on his way
Macken needs 2 fuck off been a total waste a time, get sum1 better in, and who knows where we'll finish ( guess is about 14th at the minute tho !!! )

Macken and Lee don't work well together as they are similarish, he might well do better with a Haynes/Clarke...I'd start Macken with Haynes  cos we do need that balance, Haynes and Clarke will be headless chooks imho and I don't want Naylor up front... Macken can be the one eye'd man in the kingdom of the blind for us on the weekned  |

Alan Lee should be back in training next week after scans showed no obvious cause for concern over his groin injury. well thats good news he's suspended for cardiff ne way yeah agree with u vaale........ lee / macken partnership was always likely to be poor due to movement / pace ( or a lack of !! ) gotta be one of the two ( what am i saying Lee coz macken = shit  ) + clarke or haynes need a nice mixture really !!! |
