I've shared this with some of you before, but here is what I think will happen this season based on how things have gone so far (I've added some other teams and stuff just for interest)
P Team W D L F A Pts
PREMIERSHIP
1 Man Utd 38 31 4 3 83 20 97
2 Chelsea 38 27 6 5 63 40 87
--------------------------------------
19 Watford 38 3 15 20 27 54 24
20 Charlton 38 5 7 26 28 58 22
CHAMPIONSHIP
1 Birmingham 46 26 10 10 71 46 88
2 Cardiff 46 24 11 11 68 44 83
---------------------------------------------
? Ipswich 46 15 10 21 68 71 55
LEADING GOALSCORERS
PREMIERSHIP
Drogba 21
Kanu 19
CHAMPIONSHIP
Rasiak 28
Earnshaw 26
------------------
Lee 19
Hmmmm........
So, what do we think? I've been on the Leicester board and done some predictions for them, but I did highlight some of the problems with this method...
Leicester 46 11 15 21 44 61 -17 48
Now there are 3 things I must stress:
1. This changes after every single game. If Leicester were to win the next two (negating the quality of the opposition), the predicted end-of-season points total would suddenly shoot up to 56. So it's not really a very good method.
2. It hinges on the idea that Leicester will go through exactly the same kind of "great unbeaten run then crap losing run" form they've been going through so far.
3. The past record of this method is not hugely accurate. I used it in mid-January last season and although it wasn't far off in suggesting obvious things e.g. that Reading would finish top of the Championship with 115pts (ended up as 105) or that Sunderland would finish bottom of the Premiership with only 11pts (finished with 15), it was wrong in suggesting that Liverpool would finish above Man Utd, and was well off in suggesting that Leicester would finish 21st with only 46pts when they actually finished 16th with 54.
SO THERE IS STILL HOPE YET!!!
What do we think, people?

If Leicester carry on for the rest of the season like they have since the start of the season, this is how they'll finish:Leicester 46 11 15 21 44 61 -17 48
