Want to see something amusing?
Here's something I posted in the rumour mill ages ago, just after we'd signed Jon Macken, at a guess as to who our leading goalscorer would be this season:
I must admit, I've been worried about our strikeforce since the start of the season. So many people saying that it's not a problem area for the team, but I've thought all along that it was and now it definitely is. We'll soon see if Macken fits in, Alan Lee hasn't been wonderful this season (to be honest, hasn't been wonderful since the Crewe game when he got injured), Haynes will be great but not yet, Bowditch... well we all know how my stance on Dean Bowditch has changed in recent weeks - rather than insist on selling him (as I did before the QPR game), I now want him to stay and stick in around 15 - I say 15 because it's the absolute ceiling of what I think he's capable of and I think we need someone to be hitting that total with Forster gone.
This is about as realistically optimistic as I can be:
With any luck, you'll also see Williams, Currie, Garvan, De Vos and Naylor weigh in with a good few (say at least 4 each), perhaps even Legwinski sneaking a crafty 2... ;D
WHAT A LOT OF CRAP!!! ;D ;D
Lee and Clarke have been amazing, Macken and Bowditch have been shite, Legwinski's got more than just a "crafty two"...

Name | 2006/07 Performance | Goals |
Macken | Proves to be an excellent signing by hitting the kind of form he used to have at Preston and joining on a permanent basis in January. | 17 |
Bowditch | Shines this season like he should have done before | 15 |
Lee | Gets his act together around Christmas and sticks in a good few within the space of about 10 games. | 10 |
Haynes | Doubles his tally from last season to make good progress. | 8 |
Clarke | Like Haynes last season. | 4 |
With any luck, you'll also see Williams, Currie, Garvan, De Vos and Naylor weigh in with a good few (say at least 4 each), perhaps even Legwinski sneaking a crafty 2... ;D
