From what I've heard, we wasted our chances, and Sheffield Wednesday continued their good form by punishing us for it.
My personal opinion? Town don't know how to come back from defeat and end up suffering several losses in a row until something sparks an improvement. This happened after the Leicester game and after the Preston game.
The answer was - Billy Clarke. We lost 3 games on the trot at the start, then the turning point that was the Peterborough Carling Cup game (I know we lost, but we were a totally different side that night than we had been up to that point this season) in which Clarke scored. We lost 3 on the trot after losing our unbeaten run, but Clarke put in a brilliant performance against Southend and the turnaround was complete.
We need you back Billy, ASAP....

Haynes just wasn't up to it. He was outmuscled from the start. We missed so many easy chances, it was embarrassing. We had some real sitters and just popped them over the bar And we couldn't even make them score an own goal. The Wednesday fans even started singing; "Shall we score a goal for you?"
