Ipswich are closing in on the emergency loan signing of left winger Gary Roberts from Accrington Stanley. The 22-year-old could join the Championship side until January.
Town boss Jim Magilton hopes to bolster his squad with Mark Noble expected to return to West Ham next month when his three-month loan expires.
And with Gavin Williams and Owen Garvan both sidelined through injury and illness respectively, Ipswich are lacking options in midfield

He wasn't actually! He was quite speedy and had some good crosses Looked like an old man when he came on, but then burst down the left wing!
