Your predictions?
Personally, i think it will be a 1-1 draw. Neither side will possess enough firing power to make that cuttng edge needed to win the game outright.

right !!! im sorry - but ipswich DO have the forwards - i donno y everyone says we dont !!! our main problem at the moment is the midfield.......... its not linking up well at all, which results in the forwards having few chances, and the defence becomming very exposed i'll go for a 2-1 win for the tractors tho........... ( both sides need the points !!!!!!! )

I'm not saying you haven't got forwards i#'m just saying i don't think either team will have that cutting edge. We also have good forwards, eg Parkin being the top scorer in this league! But, i presonally don't think either team will have the cutting edge

lol. I just can't see either of us being able to afford to lose. If City lose again, it will be there worst opening sequence........ ever!! I just think it's made for a draw to get both teams off the mark And have an exalt, seems you are quite low!

I'm sure that Parkin guy (who I swear looks like that guy from; 'My name is Earl') will find a way to score I'm coming out of hibernation and cricket watching to go down to Portman Road today. I am hoping it will be better than what I've heard from people

I'm sure that Parkin guy (who I swear looks like that guy from; 'My name is Earl') will find a way to score I'm coming out of hibernation and cricket watching to go down to Portman Road today. I am hoping it will be better than what I've heard from people Parkin came up through the ranks at Barnsley. Mainly used as a centre-half. Sporaidic appearances before being let go to York/ Macclesfield. The management there saw his potential as a centre forward and he impressed before being picked up by Hull. Big lad 6foot 4 inches.

well...that was much much better. good debuts from the new midfielders, think the peterborough game will be good to allow them to settle in. definitely deserved all 3 points. shame about the attendance.

[glow=red,2,300]TIME FOR A RANT[/glow]
Ipswich 0-0 Hull. Should've scored a few but Lee, Forster and Walton all wasted dynamite chances. This is why though I'm a bit sick to death of so many Town fans moaning "oh, our defence is shit, why isn't Jim improving it".
Don't get me wrong, our defence IS shit, but my philosophy is, if you're scoring goals you've always got a chance. Joe Royle's second season in charge (2003/04) is a perfect example. We conceded 72 goals - only Burnley and one of the relegated sides conceded more. However, seeing as we slammed in 84 ourselves, it didn't matter, we still finished 5th! This is why I'm glad to hear we're being linked with Neil Mellor because I think he's the kind of player that could do well here. He's dying for a better chance at first team football and he could become a very decent striker in the future.
Forget all this "let's sign some more defenders" bollocks because all that's going to happen there is Jim will spend that approximate £700k from recent transfers of Ian Westlake and the probable sale of Sam "I'm coming back to bite you on the arse at Deepdale" Parkin plus the rumoured £1m from the share issue on two "Dan Harding"s which I think we would all admit would be a bloody disaster. He's never going to improve that defence because it's beyond help. People might disagree, but let's just become the goalscoring team we were a couple of years ago, eh? Then balls to however many we concede, a 4-3 win is a win nonetheless!
Ipswich 6-1 Leicester Ipswich 6-1 Burnley Ipswich 6-4 Crewe Ipswich 6-0 Nottingham Forest Ipswich 5-1 Sheffield United

you make a good point. however, seeing as good strikers are hard to come by these days i dont think the defensive problem can be ignored. it gets so much easier to win games if you're not metaphorically one down before you start.

yeah i always used 2 look forward 2 our scores coming thru even Ipswich 3 Nottingham Forest 4......... i mean it used 2 be exciting times,,,,,,, that game we gave away a 2-0 lead now its 2 goals and under a game seems 2 be draw at best were we unlucky 2day then

I am not impressed by Dan Harding. Every time he got the ball he looked nervous and hurried. Seems to me that Leeds got the better part of that deal Second half was better, but I'm still not sure. Listening to the radio afterwards, it seems we've improved slightly.
