New single shoots straight to number 22 in the Coca-Cola Championship:
The Lightning Seeds Feat. Comic duo Jim Magilton & Bryan Klug from classic sofa-based series Magilton & Klug: Unproven ("It'll never work, it'll never work...")
In a new version of their classic hit "Three Lions":
"WE... ARE... GOIIIN DOWN, WE'RE GOOOIN DOWN, WE'RE GOOOIN DOWN, WE'RE GOOOIN..."It's all good fun, this football lark, isn't it? I was fairly optimistic about our chances under Jim Magilton (as my TWTD article says)... then the season started... I was thinking a bit of Northern Irish gob would transform the team from the underachievers under Joe Royle to promotion contenders. Instead, we seem to have gone from underachievers under Joe Royle to underachievers under Jim Magilton! BEFORE YOU SAY IT... I know, early days, two games in, tough opposition, looked all right against Palace etc. etc., however, I'm slightly worried that we still don't look like sticking any goals in. Not that Jim Magilton keeping Sam Parkin saying "he deserves another chance" then not bloody bringing him on until the 86th minute helps, especially when you take someone like Jaime Peters off to do it! So, as you can all tell, I'm HUGELY pessimistic following these first two performances. Anyone else feeling like me? Waiting for Jim to stop panicking about signing defenders and get some bloody scorers in first so that we at least stand a chance? Waiting for Bowditch either to score or get his arse out the door? Waiting for some points?...

Trouble is regardless of how he's playin, I can see Peters being one of these people who sticks in his first good cross of the match in the 89th minute, and that's where the goal comes from...

Must add - A stat came to my attention last night (I'm sure you've all had that experience... ) In the last year, whenever Town have scored two goals in a game, they always pick up at least a point. So in that case, you might just argue that all we have to do each game is stick in two goals. "All we have to do" is score TWO goals. TWO GOALS. WHEN THE FECK IS THAT EVER GOING TO HAPPEN?!?!

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I'M BLOODY WAITING FOR!!! I'm absolutely desperate for us to sign Sutton because I think it's exactly what this non-scoring club needs! All right, he's old, slow, ex-Norwich, probably a bit past it but at this level, he'd do! WHY THE HELL HAVEN'T WE MADE ANY PROGRESS ON THIS?!?! The only thing I've heard since Jim said he was interested last Wednesday was on TWTD.co.uk on Friday - "Sutton's pay-as-you-play demands rumoured to be anywhere between £10,000 per game and £25,000 per game..." ...hmmmmm....... This isn't going to happen, is it... AND WHERE THE HELL IS MARK NOBLE?!?! WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE SIGNING HIM ON LOAN LAST WEEK!!!
