He was very highly rated by Brighton, would do a good job. Certainly better than Naylor. Bowden seemed to be saying that he could get him, but was unsure if he wanted to spend all of his transfer fund on him. I think the confusion over the fact that he wasn't a loan but was a tranfers opportunity now meant that the fact we didn't get him straight away meant that it was interpretted as us being unable to pay. This deals not dead and with the funds from the Westy deal I'm sure we could get him if we want him. Jim just needs to know he is the sort of player we want...Jim.....he is..go get him! That plus Noble on loan and Sutton week on week and suddenly we have 3 pacy defenders and JDV holding it together....an energetic midfield with pace and a big mix of strikers!  enough to make you optimistic  |
