What new manager would that be, Magic?
I'm sorry that I don't share your optimism, I think we are in serious trouble of facing relegation. I think that most Town fans would agree in regard to the Chairman being the root of the problem. We really need to get him and Bowden out of the club.
These are dark dark days........SHEEPSHANKS OUT
The Donny chairman is obviously a crack head

My my, we're a chatty bunch aren't we. This is probably the most important decision of our club's recent history.
I don't want to come across as a negative nancy & I will give whoever is appointed my full support, but talk about a fall from grace!
Anyone else upset that our standing (albeit not huge in any way) within the game, has taken a complete nosedive?
Methinks the death of a once proud club is just around the corner unless there is a complete overhaul. Mind you, I'm not sure that Narwich Union would let us go bust........

does seem to be very negative and hopeless at the moment...and to think only the season before last we were doing so well (until the *cough* play offs *cough*)

I'll be honest. Even myself, the eternal optimist, has now given up all hope of imminent success at Portman Road. The trouble I believe lies with the fact that the club has often been thought of so highly within the game. Over the years Ipswich has been considered a club of patience, where fortune will come to those who wait, a club who won't rub others up the wrong way (conveniently forgetting the Burley/Colchester saga). Now with this reputation the hierarchy try and uphold it. Colchester/Southend say no we can't speak to their managers so we then give up. Derby on the otherhand are rebuffed by Preston over Davies, but keep pursuing him and eventually appoint him.
Its time for a change at the top at Ipswich.

think we need to give up on idea of Sheepskank going. Clearly not going to. also he is crap but can't be blamed for everything (not that you were doing that Mr Tractor )

I have a personal dislike of Sheepshanks but in the early days admired what he did to the club professionally, i.e post 1994/95 season which was a disaster. Unfortunately football is a business world now. When a business is failing changes are made at boardroom level. Ipswich Town Football Club go into administration (a business failure) and some 3 years later not an awful lot has changed at the club within the hierarchy.

I'm just the most pesimistic person you can meet. I think I saw Sheepshanks at the Suffolk Show and I felt like shouting at him, but I resisted it since I had some security guard behind me...
Magilton as manager? This is taking untested managers way too far!!!

yeah im starting 2 get a bit with whats going on at ipswich myself now BUT ! i really do think the squad next season looks potentially a pretty handy side 2 me !!! Garvans got a seasons experience Magilton isn't playing !!!! ( hope he can manage ) but he was SO slow this season..........and blatently past it Peters - play him - and the fans will already love u Jimmo ! Lee / Forster look a good frontpair 2 me - which in turn will make Parkin train a lot harder / same with Haynes ,,,,,,,,,, Barron looks a good player 2 I'm just thinking it won't be a disaster next season and the general vibe im getting off Ipswich fans is next season is going 2 be shocking !!!! have faith,,,,,,,,,,, please !!!!!!!!
