It all looks ok as a higher end general spec ................. not sure about buying from Dell though. Their kit tends to be a bit cheap and plastic-y, but it ususally work well enough, even if sometimes bits come lose/fall off!!

I tend to avoid Dell too - and I haven't read the other bits in-depth, but I'd definitely avoid getting Vista for now if it can be helped. There's still gonna be all sorts of teething errors for the next year or so, I reckon, so I'm gonna wait at least until then 'til I upgrade.

well just going to use it for music, downloading films etc, doi need everything or could i down grade on some parts?
