If I didn't see this on the Official Site, I wouldn't believe it. I've highlighted Ken Bates' response to Chelsea below. Hilairious! ;D
Leeds United have issued a statement in response to Chelsea's announcement that they have lodged a formal complaint with the Football Association against chairman Ken Bates.
A club spokesman said: "We are totally amused and look forward to receiving their (Chelsea Football Club's) detailed evidence to support their complaint."
Meanwhile, Leeds chairman Ken Bates said: "I haven't laughed so much since Ma caught her tits in the mangle."
Leeds United will be making no further comment at this stage.

Here's the full statement from Chelsea to which Ken Bates responded:
Chelsea statement on Bates and Leeds Thursday, Aug 17, 2006
Chelsea Football Club has issued the following statement on Ken Bates and Leeds United.
"Chelsea FC today (August 17) filed a complaint with the Football Association against Ken Bates and Leeds United for bringing the game into disrepute.
This follows recent comments by Mr Bates arising out of the dispute between Chelsea and Leeds over Michael Woods, Tom Taiwo and Danny Rose.
There are football procedures in place to deal with that specific dispute. Chelsea will comply with those, will not discuss the case publicly other than our previously stated position and will contest it vigorously.
However there are also existing football rules (E3 and E4) that prohibit rude, insulting and inappropriate comments being made about other club owners, chairmen and personnel.
In particular we are concerned by the implications of Mr Bates’ reference to the Chelsea directors as “a bunch of shysters from Siberia” and the discriminatory nature of this in terms of race, nationality and religion (rule E4). Such comments have no place in football, a sport which is rightly committed to fighting racial intolerance and bigotry.
Chelsea believes these comments are part of a personal campaign being waged by Mr Bates against our club and his actions cannot be allowed to masquerade erroneously as being in the interests of football as he claims.
Rule E3 states: “A Participant shall at all times act in the best interests of the game and shall not act in any manner which is improper or brings the game into disrepute or use any one, or a combination of, violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting words or behaviour.”
Rule E4 states: “A Participant shall not carry out any act which is discriminatory by reason of ethnic origin, colour, race, nationality, religion, sex, sexual orientation or disability.”

Chelsea have filed a complaint with the Football Association against former Blues chairman Ken Bates and Leeds United for bringing the game into disrepute.
The Premiership champions made the decision to take action against current Leeds chairman Bates and the Championship outfit for comments he made about the Stamford Bridge club.
Bates has already reported his former club to the Football Association, the Premier League, the Football League and Fifa after alleging that Chelsea tapped-up three Leeds youngsters in Danny Rose, Michael Woods and Tom Taiwo.
The situation was then exacerbated when Bates claimed The Blues had made an illegal approach for 10-year-old Leeds trainee Lewis Coyle.
Bates's latest comments about Chelsea have upset the West Londoners, with The Blues confirming their decision to take formal action against their former chairman.
"There are football procedures in place to deal with that specific (tapping-up) dispute," read a statement on Chelsea's official website.
"Chelsea will comply with those, will not discuss the case publicly other than our previously stated position and will contest it vigorously.
"However, there are also existing football rules that prohibit rude, insulting and inappropriate comments being made about other club owners, chairmen and personnel.
"In particular, we are concerned by the implications of Mr Bates's reference to the Chelsea directors as 'a bunch of shysters from Siberia' and the discriminatory nature of this in terms of race, nationality and religion.
"Such comments have no place in football, a sport which is rightly committed to fighting racial intolerance and bigotry.
"Chelsea believes these comments are part of a personal campaign being waged by Mr. Bates against our club and his actions cannot be allowed to masquerade erroneously as being in the interests of football, as he claims."
Leeds, meanwhile, have responded with amusement to Chelsea's claims.
"We are totally amused and look forward to receiving their detailed evidence to support their complaint," a Leeds spokesman told the club's official website.
How is 'a bunch of shysters from Siberia' a racist or bigoted comment.
Chelsea's complaint is laughable and they've no option other than to play the politically correct card. They've done this so bad it can't work. Chelsea don't have leg to stand on.
Any idiot can see that Bates was just having a laugh.
I'm supprised they showed the word 'tits' on the offical site. It was too x-rated for skysports.com which is where the above article came from.

I wish Uncle Ken would let it go. He clearly has a personal agenda here and I hope he doesn't drag the good name of Leeds United down

I agree, and I think we'll get action taken against us. I think it's Chelsea trying to distract attention away from the fact that yet again they over stepped the rules in tapping up players. Hope the Authorities find in Leeds' favour and order Chelsea pay £25m compensation (its what Theo Walcott was worth x 2) - and points deduction. And if the appeal they'll be thrown out of the Champion's League. Then they deal with Chelsea's complaint againt Mr Bates and they oder him to publicly apologise and fine him £2000 ;D

Just fucked of with Roman, Kenyon and their entourage of Siberian and Cockney shyster shit heads running rough-shod over anyone who gets in their way. Need to be brought to book and fucking punished BIG TIME - the wankers! Pisses me off - them acting like a big club when in reality they're a small tinpot London club favoured by the fashion conscious and yuppy twats. Once Roman gets bored and sells up they'll come down to earth with a bump - and they'll fucking deserve it

The FA piss me off with their big club bias! Remember we've had ticket allocations reduced by the FA for persistant standing, yet it happens at Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, and many other premiership clubs every match, but the FA do nothing about it! Moan over

I just hope we get a decent payout from Chelsea as it seems quite a compelling case about the tapped up players. Still a little worried about Ken Bates cavelier attitude in taking Chelsea on in the manner he is, but I guess he needs to make it clear he's not gonna roll over and go away.
I'm just hoping Chelsea don't get points taken off them and hand the title to Scum. It would be crap if we handed them the title again, (just like we did by beating Arsenal 4 or 5 years ago at the end of the season).

I reckon Bates will be in trouble, even though it was really funny what he said, but the FA or whoever deals with it will take it all out of proportion. Chelsea are trying to deflect the seriousness of the allegations against them and unfortunately Bates has given them that opportunity, they will get off almost scot free.
but well done Bates for speaking your mind
