United will take an extended look at French trialist striker Dembele Garra. The gangly marksman, pictured, played the second half of the 2-1 defeat at Scunthorpe United on Tuesday night and will be handed another chance to impress. United head coach John Carver said: "He's a young French boy we've had for a few days. We had to wait for international clearance and he will play in a couple more games before he goes back to France. "Tuesday was the first time he's played for us and he did okay. It's always difficult for trialists coming in to any team, and he doesn't speak the language, but we had a good look at him and will continue to do so." Garra, a French under-20 international who is at Auxerre, was training with Newcastle and is attracting interest from a host of top-flight clubs.

Do we want some one who can't speak English? It's not going to help the team is it!

Jobi McAnuff has handed in a transfer request to Palace, so he would be a good singing for us, a creative attacking midfielder.
I know we have a lot of midfielders now, but not enough (if any) who can really turn games around, he's pacy, scores goals, skillful, takes on players. He might want to go to a premiership club by mistake.
