Now *that* would be a result! He'd be great for the job but seeing as he lives in Scotland (?) he wouldn't want to uproot his family, specially his wife so it's a long shot. Well he's managed Norwich and Leicester down here before, so I don't think he'd have issues with family. Still, Martin O'Neill will be managing Manure the season after next, not us... Yes but that was before his wife got ill. He wouldn't take a job that meant he'd be away from his wife all the time.. So Manure wouldn't be a good option seeing as they usually have European commitments..

2 hours driving to and from Elland Rd to get tickets. 8 hours queuing for tickets. 8 hours driving to and from Cardiff. 90 minutes watching drivel. That about sums up my week.

as I just posted on another thread, I think KB will be given next season (and probably not a HUGE amount of money) to get Leeds up. If he fails, he will almost certainly go, but I think that if we have a slump (as we did this year) he could go even before the end. However, I think we should remember what he has done for Leeds, at a time when no other manager would have touched us. Maybe the job is too big for him, but he has tried his best and I think he can be proud of what he has achieved - and if we could have a situation where we had another manager and could keep KB as a coach, well that wouldn't be too bad - but it probably won't happen.

Blackwell deserves another attempt to get us up - last year was a season to stabilise. This year, was a season to compete. Despite (or possibly because of) some lucky results, compete we did. A play off final defeat is nothing to be ashamed about in the cold light of day, (it was just the manner in which we totally failed to perform yesterday that is gruelling). If we'd battled and fought and lost by the odd goal yesterday, I doubt few would be so quite so disappointed.
I'd give him until Christmas and if we are the top six, he's welcome to stay. If not, then it's time to reconsider, (but can we really afford to be paying off yet another manager?). I will still give Blackwell my full support until then, (so long as he never, EVER, plays a 4-5-1 EVER again)

You should never say never Radders, we played 4-5-1 in the second leg against Preston, sometimes it works, just usually it doesn't.

With Blackwell we'll go up through playoffs, he seems like a person who won't make the same mistake twice.....
Without Blackwell we'll get automatic, there are a lot better managers than him and to be honest should we gte in the premiership we'll need someone else, whom will be prepared to go for it and not be defensive minded... we've got a great team but we're not playing tactics that suit the players we've got so with the right manager and right tactics we'd be unbeatable....

KB senior won't mess about if KB junior isn't getting the right results from the off....can KB junior handle the pressure? If he can, I say Champions....if he can't I say "Martin O'Neil" ;D (It's Jenny here ) O'Neill's the next Forest manager, he'll be unveiled this week apparantly. He lives in the Midlands so it'll be ok for him. Blackwell IN!!
